Metal detectors comparison
It was easy, back in the days, shortly after the WWII, there were only a couple of metal detectors and they did pretty much the same. One was a good mine sweeper, one was really detecting metals of all kind, but they were more similar then they appeared. More than sixty years later, the metal detector market is a very crowded one; many models with metal detecting capabilities are being manufactured and sold to the relic hunter and such who are eager to become one. How to decide which model is the right one, what features do different models offer, how far do they differ and what to keep in mind when finally purchasing your treasure hunting tool? Metal detector comparison is maybe the safest way to go. If you have the possibility to compare the metal detectors at your store, then that would be just the thing to do. On the other hand, playing with the metal detector for five minutes will not seriously divulge all the good and bad sides of the model, while you are flicking switches in the store, with the salesperson looming over you and counting the commission in his or her head. When the store clerk sees that you are serious in buying one, it is not to be expected that the advice will be a pertinent one, moreover it is to be expected that the most expensive model will be branded “the best there is”. You need to make up your mind exactly which features you need in a metal detector. Does the gadget need to be waterproof? Do you intend to use it on a beach, or on regular ground? How advanced do you need your model to be? Does it need to have sophisticated elimination provisions of unwanted metal and minerals? Do you want to get seriously engorged into relic hunting, or will it be just a hobby? Most of the answers and information to these questions can be found online. All manufacturers have their own websites with all the specifications listed, together with the manufacturer suggested retail prices. Community forums, where relic hunters interact and share their knowledge and experiences, have vast amount of information pertaining to the available metal detector models, as well as the ones which are out of stock. The communities are very open to inquiries; you can conduct your own voting booth for which of the models fits your needs most efficiently. Several independent web pages offer metal detector comparisons, with direct evaluation of all pertinent models available for purchase. Do your research before you go to the store, and you will have no problem picking the right tool for your task.
